Selten findet man noch Fabrikanlagen wie diese: Um 1900 erbaut, Ende der 70'er stillgelegt, liegt sie wie ein verwunschenes Märchenschloss hinter einer Mauer in einem Wald. Wobei der Wald sicher erst nach der Schliessung richtig herangewachsen ist. Vandalismus-Spuren sind zum Glück keine vorhanden, zu isoliert scheint die Anlage zu liegen.
Obwohl schon vieles demontiert wurde, finden sich noch immer beeindruckende Anlagenteile mit dem rostigen Charme eines langen Betriebslebens - allen voran eine Gasverflüssigungsanlage von Linde, wohl aus dem ersten Drittel des vergangenen Jahrhunderts stammend.
Zwei Besuche haben noch immer nicht gerreicht, um jeden Winkel des unübersichtlichen Geländes kennenzulernen. Eine Kläranlage und ein modernes Gasometer zeugen davon, dass das Areal auch heute noch genutzt wird - und das nicht nur von einem Bauern, der die alten Salz-Lagerhallen als Abstellplatz für seine Geräte benutzt.

Unheimlicher sind da schon zischende und glucksende Leitungen, die in einer verfallenen Halle an der Wand entlang führen und offensichtlich ihren Inhalt zum Teil an die Umgebung abgeben. Jedenfalls hatte ich am folgenden Tag die wohl schlimmsten Kopfschmerzen meines Lebens. "Abstand halten" ist auch hier die Devise.

Two visits were still not enough to explore every corner of the complex terrain. A wastewater treatment plant and a modern gasometer indicate that the area is still in use - and not only by a farmer, who uses the old salt-warehouses for parking his appliances.

Eerier are already fizzing and chuggling conduits, which surround the wall in a dilapidated hall and obviously reek some of their contents into the environment. In any event, the following day I had probably the worst headache of my life. "Keep distance" is the motto here.
